Facade Color Study – Brick Commercial Building

Commercial· Seattle,WA
Project Type: Type: Facade Visualization / Color Feasibility
Timeline: March to April 2024
Role: Visualization, Photoshop Rendering, Developer Support
Timeline: < 2 hours
Tools Used: Adobe Photoshop

When our team was exploring exterior upgrade options for an older brick commercial building, I was asked to quickly visualize how different paint schemes might transform its curb appeal. Using a reference photo, I created a series of color studies in Photoshop to help the team review and decide between options like full whitewash, dark paint, and partial wood trim accents — all within a day.

This helped speed up stakeholder decisions and reduce guesswork before involving contractors or committing to materials.

Takeaway

This project showed how even a simple Photoshop study can speed up critical design decisions. Developers don’t always need full architectural renderings — they often just need a quick, believable image to imagine what’s possible. I love doing that.
